Jimi: Guitars and Vocals

Jimi was always a little musical, even as a toddler, according to his parents, but his interest really started when he first saw the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show. But it wasn’t until he saw Cream on their Farewell Tour and the Jeff Beck Group the following summer that he decided to take up the guitar. His early influences were Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Alvin Lee. He later got into Leslie West, Paul Kossoff of Free, Ronnie Montrose, Keith Richards, Joe Perry, and Mick Ronson. As the music scene evolved, Jimi’s cadre of guitarists increased with people like Steve Jones, Gary Moore, Michael Schenker, Randy Rhoads, and many more.

A veteran of the NYC rock scene with bands like The Hits, Jimi has played legendary clubs like CBGB's and Max's Kansas City. He appeared on The Uncle Floyd Show, The Flo & Eddie Show on CBS, and opened for acts such as The Go-Gos, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Good Rats, Joan Jett, The Smithereens, and Twisted Sister. In fact, Bon Jovi once opened up for him!

Jimi wrote and recorded the single “All the Girls (Want to Be in Gangs)” which received significant airplay on WNEW and WLIR.

He toured the tri-state area, the West Coast and Canada with the band Thor, opening for acts like Joe Perry and Joan Rivers at The Dunes in Las Vegas. He later released an EP with the band Sinful that landed in the top 20 of Karrang! Magazine and was selected as one of Metal Forces Magazine’s top 25 releases of the year.
